• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Tokyo Cool -- Unexpected turns keep the story fresh : To say that Oku is a master at keeping the Gantz story fresh and exciting is a massive understatement. The story has not gone as I expected at all and I mean this as a compliment. After the last few chapters of the last volume, I expected the story to go one way but with the first few chapters of this volume it's gone in a completely different direction. I love it. A lot happens in this volume. I'll have to give it another read because I was flying through it on pure reader's adrenaline, it's just so amazing. The art also goes without saying. Incredible detail on characters and the aliens look even wackier this time around. I love how this volume has taken the story to another level. I can't say much more without spoiling anything! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Valid_Until -- Fanservice, Gore and Action! : I attempted to get the full collection a few years back but that proved a pain with individual volumes selling for unrealistic prices so I'm so pleased the omnibus collection was realised. Great price for such an amazing manga so good I tattooed gantz onto my own foot. Alexander -- Massacre at the Temple : While the Gantz hunters clear the temple of the alien statues, the giant Buddha has entered the game and is threatening the lives of bystanders as well as the hunters themselves. The massive alien seems impervious to usual tactics so Kei has to get creative in order to defeat it. The Buddha is the only threat left though and nothing goes as planned. There are always surprises, pleasant or otherwise, in this series to keep you on the edge of your seat. For people thinking about starting this series, do it!
